Overview
Mt. Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa sits on the Equator with an altitude of 5199m above sea level. Climb via the most scenic route of Chogoria to enjoy breathtaking scenery of waterfalls, beautiful flowers, gorges, terns, and the mysterious plants and groundsel some of which are endemic to Mt. Kenya. Arrive at the summit for amazing sunrise above the clouds, then descent down to be met by a 4x4 tour landcruiser and drive to a lodge for refreshment and later game drives in the beautiful Olpajeta National Park, and finish with Lake Naivasha for boat safaris with hippos and fish eagles!
Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano in Kenya and the second-highest peak in Africa, after Kilimanjaro. The highest peaks of the mountain are Batian (5,199 metres, Nelion (5,188 m) and Point Lenana (4,985 m). Mount Kenya is a volcano created approximately 3 million years after the opening of the East African Rift. Before glaciation, it was 7,000 m (23,000 ft) high. It was covered by an ice cap for thousands of years. This has resulted in very eroded slopes and numerous valleys radiating from the peak, with currently 11 small glaciers.
A hike through these piscturesque sceneries of eroded peaks, ridges and valleys with lakes tarns, glaciers and waterfalls makes this trip greatly fulfilling.
· Ol Pejeta, a park reputed for its efforts in conserving both the black and White rhinos, boasting of the largest population of black rhinos in the world and a chance of seing the famous “Big Five”.
· Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful park with a salty lake in the middle and surrounded with africa’s big game such as rhinoceros, buffaloes, lions, leopards, various antelopes, zebras etc, and especially reputed for it’s beautiful scenery!
· Hell’s Gate, Crater Lake et le lac Naivasha, where over 350 bird species, and a bid number of hippopotamuses, zebras and antelopes flourish. hippopotames, zèbres et antilopes. Here we do game walks, boat ride and cycling safari.

Leave early and drive towards Mount Kenya, passing through plantations of mangoes, pineapples, bananas, coffee, tea on the way and catching beautiful views of the majestic Mount Kenya (on a clear day), arrive at Chogoria town where we meet the porters and crew. Lunch in a small restaurant, then leave towards the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Drive to the payment and ticketing office where you register, then drive again for a little while before alighting and walk through the equatorial rain forest zone and giant bamboo zone for 3 km to arrive at the park gate where we spent the night.

Leave after breakfast and hike through Hygenia Abysinica forest then through the heather zone to Lake Ellis, then descend to the Nithi Campsite for Lunch. After lunch and rest, visit the Nithi falls and Caves.

Leave after breakfast and hike throughgiantheather zone fading into rocks doted with high altitude flowers (red hot poker, purple senecio flowers and everlasting flowers). Get picturesque views of the peaks and Gorges’ valley and L. Ellis in the distance. Pose for picnic, then then continue into giant groundsel (Giant Senecio,and Lobelia) to the camp. After rest, visit the view point into Gorges’ valley with breathtaking views of the lakes and the valley and the snowy peaks of Mt. Kenya.

Sleap early and wake up at 3;00am for some hot tea and coffee, then leave and climb with headlamps to the summit arriving in time for sunrise (6:30am). Enjoy the amazing view from this point at sunrise. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro(roof of Africa) in a distance. Descend through scree then giant groundsel to Shipton’s Camp (4200m) for breakfast, rest and overnight.

Leave early after breakfast for a long descend to Old Moses Camp (3200m) where you meet your driver and drive to Olpajeta National Park. Check in to the Hotel for lunch, then an afternoon game drive in the park with high chances of spoting elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, Zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, hartebeests, warthogs, and of course predators like lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas etc.

Full day game drives in this amazing Park. The Conservancy boasts the largest black rhinoceros sanctuary in East Africa; in 2013, it reached a population milestone of one hundred eastern black rhinos. It also houses the two last remaining northern white rhinos in the world, who were moved there from Dvůr Králové Zoo in the Czech Republic. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here which provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimpanzees; It is the only place in Kenya where chimpanzees can be seen. The Conservancy is host to the "Big five game" animals among a large selection of other African animals.

Early morning game drive at Olpajeta, come back to the hotel for breakfast and then leave for Lake Nakuru National park.. Drive to Thomson falls for lunch and aview of the famous Thomson falls (72m) then drive into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, arriving in the afternoon. Game drive enroute.

Leave after breakfast for a biking safari with zebras, warthogs, giraffes, buffaloes antelopes and breathtaking scenery at Hell’s Gate National park. Later, descend into the gorge for amazing scenery. Come back to the hotel for lunch and rest.

Leave after breakfast for a. boat ride on the lake, where you get a chance to view several fresh water birds and families of hippopotamuses, then you are dropped off to the Crescent Island for a relaxing walk of tranquility with zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeests impalas etc. often interrupted with Fish eagles’ cry and other birds. Come back to the hotel for lunch then leave for Nairobi.
