Our Special Features

Royal Ecotravel embraces the principles of Eco-Tourism and Sustainable Tourism. Sustainable tourism in its purest sense is an industry which attempts to make a low impact on the environment and local culture, while helping to generate income, employment, and the conservation of local ecosystems. It is responsible tourism which is both ecologically and culturally sensitive.
Most Tour Operators and Travel Agents have promoted what has become to be known us mass tourism. This means that all of their tourists congregate in the same place leading to the overstraining of these ecosystems. This has led to environmental degradation and it has also reduced the local people into beggars since they now rely on handouts from tourists. Royal Ecotravel seeks to address this situation. To avoid further degradation of these fragile environments, Royal Ecotravel allows you to visit destinations in the less frequented places and more often go off the beaten road to explore these areas. The local people are our equal partners in this venture. We work hand in hand with them to ensure that the benefits accruing from tourism reach them directly. We want to sensitise them on the importance of our indigenous cultures and why they should try to preserve them because of their uniqueness. We also discuss with them the community projects they are planning to undertake and try to look for ways of assisting them be it financially, materially or in form of qualitative advice. In doing this we hope to create sustainable tourism through responsible travel. Through these initiatives we hope to go a mile ahead in preserving the environment for future generations.
In all the destinations we visit, we ensure that local communities are the foremost beneficiaries. We achieve this by spending the night in the community campsites, engaging in local ecotourism projects and using the local people as our guides in their land. In doing this we hope to encourage the people to take proper care of their environment and conserve these fragile ecosystems. Our appeal to all Eco-conscious travelers is to encourage you to travel with Royal Ecotravel and discover responsible traveling.
We sponsor schools and needy students in the schools found in the area we visit. Education is very expensive, and most poor families in sub-Saharan Africa can not afford this essential facility. Giving a Child a chance to education goes along way into ensuring a good future not only for the child but also for the village at large.
Our Company works hand in hand with local ecotourism community projects like, Malaso Ecotourism project, Lake Bogoria Ecotourism Community Project, Lake Elementaita Community Ecotourism Project, Olenkuluo Community project, Siana and Leganishu Wildlife Trusts among others.
